Pedal Piano Recital

For the first time on DVD, a recital entirely devoted to the pedal piano, the special instrument for which several important composers of the nineteenth century, including Robert Schumann, Charles Gounod and Charles-Valentin Alkan, wrote pages of great value.  In this recital, filmed by Peter Tagliaferri in the exceptional setting of the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Roberto Prosseda offers the greatest masterpieces written during the nineteenth century for the pedal piano.
