Since his debut recording with Petrassi's complete piano works (Foné, 2000), Roberto Prosseda has been a keen promoter of the 20th Century Italian piano music. He also recorded the complete piano works by Luigi Dallapiccola (Naxos) and his repertoire includes more than 100 compositions of Italian composers, from the beginnng of the 20th Century till our days: Busoni, Casella, Castelnuovo Tedesco, Respighi, Fano, Caetani, Omizzolo, Castiglioni, Bartolucci, Scelsi, Cafaro. Several contemporary composers dedicated his works to Roberto Prosseda. Among them, Aldo Clementi, Ennio and Andrea Morricone, Luca Lombardi, Marcello Panni, Carlo Boccadoro, Paolo Castaldi, Nicola Campogrande, Giorgio Gaslini, Alessandro Solbiati, Roberta Vacca.
Roberto Prosseda often gives recital programs entirely dedicated to Italian piano music, also focussing to Gioacchino Rossini's Péchés de vieillesse, which he performed in several concerts, also at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, at the Gasteig in Munich and at the Fundacion March in Madrid (Nov. 13, 2013), where the attached videos were filmed live.
